Look over the shoulder action pose2/14/2023 We're going to get a much straighter, line for the hand. So, if we push it forward, then we're going to get this line of action. Now if we want we can certainly push this pose quite a bit. It's very, very vertical, the only line of action is pretty much up and down. And this particular pose doesn't really have a strong line of action. Now if we want we can take a look at another pose here. And again these focuses the audience's eyes towards what's important. And then, we also have a line going along the back. We have a strong line of action here, out to the hand. It gives a much stronger pose to the character. And, basically kind of direct the eye up to look at the face of the character. Now, both of these basically flow the eye up to the head. As you can see here, we've got this line along the back here. ![]() And this one here, has a different line of action. It gives the character flow, and it gives the character a much more visually appealing look. And what this does is it basically gives a line along which the eye can come, to focus on the character's face. ![]() ![]() And if you want to take a look at the line of action, you'll see that it has a very strong, straight line that goes all the way from her shoulder down to the ground. So let's take a look at a dynamic pose here. Line of action is very important to character posing, it helps to keep the character dynamic and it also helps to guide the audience's eyes to specific parts of the scene.
